Guests will be piped aboard The Royal Yacht Britannia for a champagne reception in the majestic State Drawing Room. There will be the chance for an exclusive tour of the ship before moving through to the State Dining Room for a sumptuous four-course meal with specially selected wines.

The evening will come to a traditional close with the Beating of the Retreat - adding a touch of timeless elegance to this regal affair.

Drinks reception: 6.45pm

The HIT Futures Group is taking over Dockyard Social on Thursday 30th May, from 7pm – 11pm, for the greatest cowboy disco in the (wild) west of Scotland.

Tickets are £35pp and include food, welcome drink and a chance to have a reel good time with colleagues from the tourism and hospitality industry. 

Whether it’s your first rodeo or you’re a regular at our events, there will be plenty of opportunities for everyone to catch up, connect and have fun.

It’s that time of year again – the POETS Lunch is back and the theme is set, Especially for You, with special drinks and special food for our special POETS Lunch guests and a special appearance by none other than Jason Donovan!

Heart-throb, musical theatre star and UK pop idol, Jason will be jetting to Glasgow Especially for You to kick off this year’s POETS Lunch with a delicious performance of his greatest hits, before racing back to London to appear in the West End that same night.

Tam Cowan will be his usual cuddly self, overseeing proceedings in his own inimitable style, beautifully supported by the skills of auctioneer, Natasha Raskin Sharp, who will be familiar from the BBC’s Bargain Hunt, Antiques Road Trip and Flog It!

We are delighted to announce the renowned wine writer, author and broadcaster Will Lyons has agreed to be our guest speaker. Described by The Spectator magazine as having one of the finest palates in Britain, his expertise in the world of wine is evident through his weekly column, formerly featured in The Wall Street Journal and currently published in The Sunday Times. His humorous, informed, down-to-earth writing has been recognized in both the Glenfiddich and Roederer wine writing Awards and in 2022 his podcast Wine Times was named Podcast of the Year at the British Media Awards.

The London Lunch is also a fantastic opportunity to meet up with hospitality friends and colleagues from south of the border and enjoy the finest hospitality the capital has to offer.

HIT's Truffle Club is the business networking club for the hospitality industry attracting the great and the good from all sectors of the industry.

Every Truffle Club commences with a drinks reception in The Salon before moving through to the iasg restaurant where guests enjoy a three-course meal with specially selected wines.

Since opening in 2020 Dumbarnie Golf Links has hosted the 2021 Scottish Women’s Open, been voted “World's Best New Golf Course” at the World Golf Awards and ‘Scotland's Best Golf Experience' at The Scottish Golf Tourism Awards.

Dumbarnie has established itself as one of the must-play golf courses in the UK and we are giving you the chance to do just that on Tuesday 17th October.

The format for the HIT golf day will be an 18-hole Texas Scramble with a two-tee start from 10.00am.  There will be breakfast rolls on arrival and, after your round, you can enjoy a meal in the clubhouse and, of course, the all-important prize-giving!

HIT Trustee and Chief Executive of Crerar Hotels, Chris Wayne Wills, is undertaking a 450-mile fundraising cycle in aid of HIT Scotland. On Sunday 17th September Chris will head off from the Balmoral Arms in Ballater and visit Thainstone House Hotel in Inverurie, The Golf View Hotel in Nairn, the Glencoe Inn, Oban Bay Hotel, the Isle of Mull Hotel, Loch Fyne Hotel in Inveraray and Dunkeld House Hotel before returning to the Balmoral Arms in Ballater on Friday 22nd September to complete the route.

It’s that time of year again – the POETS Lunch is back and the theme is set, NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL POETS! will be crammed full of Greatest HITS to help celebrate the 21st anniversary of this famous lunch!

Join us for a lunch filled with HITS galore, with Tam Cowan overseeing proceedings as our Number One MC, accompanied by our fabulous house-band, fronted by Scottish Jazz Awards’ Best Vocalist kitti, Sir Rod Stewart’s special guest support act at Edinburgh Castle this year (!!), who will be banging out top tunes throughout the lunch as well as treating us to a full set to kick off our famous After Party!  You won’t want to miss the iconic sounds of our George Michael Tribute Act – Brendan is ready to ignite the party with a performance that will have you believing you are watching the legendary pop icon himself!

We will be supported once again by a chart-topping entourage of fabulous Scottish hospitality companies, who underpin our lunch with free-flowing drink and delicious food, prepared by a trio of fantastic chefs, all backed up by a brilliant young team.

Dust down your clubs and get practising that swing as the HIT Golf Day is taking place at The Carrick, Loch Lomond on Monday 24th April. Prepare for a round of stunning greens, a majestic highland backdrop and the world's most beautiful water hazard – the great loch itself.

The HIT Industry dinner is the showcase event for the hospitality industry in Scotland and THE date in the hospitality calendar.

This dinner is the largest annual event hosted by HIT Scotland and plays a crucial role in raising funds for scholarships and bursaries. The winners of the 2023 HIT Industry Award and the HIT Future Leaders Award will be announced, and with Des Clarke as host and George Bowie’s GBXperience, we’ll have an entertaining evening to keep you going until the early hours.

HIT's Truffle Club is the business networking club for the hospitality industry attracting the great and the good from all sectors of the industry.

Each member has the opportunity to invite three guests to the fine dining lunches held at Glasgow’s 5-star Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel in October, February and June each year.

Every Truffle Club commences with a champagne reception in The Salon before moving through to the main restaurant where guests enjoy a three-course meal with specially selected wines.

A speaker rounds off the lunches with members then free to continue informal networking in the bar!

The HIT Scotland TALENT Conference is back, and will take place at the voco Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow on Thursday 2nd February 2023.

The 2023 programme will bring you more inspirational and thought-provoking speakers, which will challenge you and your teams to think differently about your roles and your business and how as an industry we can grow and inspire a skilled workforce. 

We have created a programme that will inspire, challenge and inform.  We are expecting over 500 attendees from across the hospitality and tourism sector in Scotland so as always the event will provide a brilliant platform for networking, connecting and meeting with other likeminded professionals in our industry. 

The 2023 HIT Scotland scholars will be announced at this event.

To celebrate the Bard’s birthday, we are spicing things up by hosting a BollyBurns Lunch at Cyrus Todiwala's Cafe Spice Namaste in London’s Docklands on Thursday 26th January.

This is a fantastic opportunity to meet up with hospitality friends from south of the border, raise a dram to Burns and savour the perfect fusion of the finest Scottish and Indian ingredients. Tickets for this unique lunch are only £85 per person but places are limited.

Fundraising is vital to all that HIT Scotland does, allowing us to continue to empower inspirational development for the Scottish hospitality industry, through our scholarship programme.

Scotland’s Tourism Industry Conference is back for 2022. With a packed programme, the event is designed to celebrate, empower and further propel our industry into the future in line with the national ambition to be leaders in 21st century tourism.

The landscape our industry operates in has changed significantly over recent years, prompting huge change, unprecedented challenges but also new opportunities.

A collaboration between the Scottish Tourism Alliance (STA), the Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions (ASVA) and HIT Scotland (Hospitality Industry Trust), the Industry Conference will run across two days. It will bring together an exciting range of speakers to deliver important insights, advice and inspiration to navigate and flourish in this new world and to embrace the new opportunities and responsibilities it presents. This year’s event will also feature an exhibitor hall as well as a complimentary evening reception offering the ideal chance to catch up, connect and have fun.
