HIT Scotland Scholarships

HIT Scotland empowers development through its scholarship programme which is open to anyone working in or studying towards a career in the Scottish hospitality industry.

A HIT Scotland scholarship is a learning experience, designed to give you new skills or knowledge, to experience best practice, or refresh your way of thinking.  The content of each scholarship varies depending on your personal development objectives, and the scholarship you have applied for.

HIT Scotland run the Andrew Fairlie Scholarship, designed to give Scotland’s finest up and coming chefs the chance to grow their career by winning some amazing educational opportunities.

HIT Scotland scholarships are funded via the money raised at our fundraising events, from our sponsors, and the funding provided by various trusts. During 2020 when the Covid pandemic hit and we were unable to run our usual in-person programme, we worked with Skills Development Scotland to run some publicly funded programmes online, designed to provide the hospitality and tourism industry with the people management skills needed to aid recovery of the industry. We also worked with Hospitality Health to provide some mental health and wellbeing training.
