Lady Boys Of Bangkok a fabulous HIT

The Lady Boys of Bangkok helped raise £30,000 at this year’s Hospitality Industry Trust Scotland POETS Lunch, which was held on 4th September at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Glasgow.

Making the trip across country following their popular Edinburgh Festival run, the group of beautiful transvestites served up a blend of glamour and comedy, flamboyant costumes, painstakingly immaculate make-up and show-stopping choreography.

The event was hosted by Glaswegian comedian Hardeep Singh Kohli.

Attended by around 450 high profile figures from across the industry, the funds raised will benefit HIT Scotland’s bursary and scholarship programmes.

HIT Scotland is a charity working to raise professional aspirations across the hospitality industry. Over £2 million has been raised by HIT Scotland since the Trust’s inception in 1994. Over 8,500 students have benefited from the bursary scheme and they have awarded over 500 individual scholarships taking talented workers on money-can’t-buy work placements and to top hotel schools around the world.

David Cochrane, Chief Executive of HIT Scotland, said," We were thrilled to raise more than £30,000 in such a difficult climate and I’m sure the Lady Boys helped by wowing the crowd.”
