HIT Scotland Joins Facebook

HIT Scotland has taken the plunge into social media with the launch of its

own page on Facebook.

The page is the first social media site to feature the latest news from the Hospitality Industry Trust (HIT) Scotland. The site will also list upcoming events, allow supporters to share photography and videos and keep users up to date on their activities while undertaking HIT Scholarships.

The discussion forum also allows users to post jobs or work experience placements. HIT Scotland is always open to new ideas and any developments the hospitality community would like to see happen, either online or offline, can be left on the discussion board.

David Cochrane, Chief Executive of HIT Scotland, said, “Many people, including our supporters, scholars and friends are using platforms such as Facebook to keep in touch. As a charity which promotes excellence and emerging talent we work with many young people. We thought we should make use of the platform to help us spread the word about ourselves and the great things happening in Scottish hospitality.”
