Hear the Hampden Roar with HIT

  • 19/02/2018

Ever dreamt of climbing the steps to the Royal Box at Hampden Park and hearing the ‘Hampden Roar’ as you lift the Scottish Cup?

The Hospitality Industry Trust (HIT) is offering you the next best thing with the chance to “HIT the Back of the Net” at Scotland’s National Stadium on 10 May 2018.

As part of this Cup Final experience, you can fulfil a childhood dream by following in the bootsteps of some of the world’s greatest players to have ever graced this iconic venue.

You will get changed into an authentic Scotland team kit in the famous dressing rooms that have been shared by so many football legends – from Ferenc Puskas and Zinedine Zidane to Kenny Dalglish and Jim Baxter. You will be introduced to the team managers, football legends Jim Leishman and Gordon Smith, who will give you an inspirational team talk before leading you down the tunnel and walking you out to the 50,000 seater stadium.

The managers will then guide their teams to Lesser Hampden for the big match where they will battle it out alongside a group of high profile players for the honour of lifting the HIT Cup in front of the Royal Box at Hampden.

After the trophy presentation, all players will get a tour of the National Football Museum before a dinner and Q&A session with a panel of high profile ex-players and managers, compered by one of the biggest characters in the game - Jim Leishman.

Billy McNeill, Chair of the HIT Football Committee, said: “I am really looking forward to this year’s HIT the Back of the Net at Hampden on 10 May. It is a fantastic opportunity for people who work in hospitality and love football to mix business and leisure. Every year the event gets better and better and I am really looking forward to seeing who wins this year’s HIT Cup.

“The post-match tour and dinner will be just as much fun as the game itself with Jim Leishman compering a Q&A with some of Scottish football’s most high profile ex-players. These guys have some great stories to tell that anyone who loves football will want to hear.”

The cost of a place on the team, including dinner, is £195. To attend the match and dinner but not play in the game is £65.

Places are limited to 20 per team and offered on a first come first served basis, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
