My journey started when I joined the Institute of Advanced Management in India and I eventually came to Scotland to finish my last year of Hospitality Management at Napier University.

I’ve worked my way up from being a waiter, working in hotels such as Hollyrood McDonald’s, Braidhills, Sheraton Grand, The Scotsman, and The George. I am currently working as Assistant manager, Food and Beverage at the Holiday Inn Edinburgh. Every hotel taught me different sides of hospitality and leadership.

After working for 10 years in this industry I finally became aware of HIT Scotland and applied for a Junior Management Scholarship. The interview was short but intense. My dream came true when I got selected for it and earned a place at the École Hôtelière de Lausanne.

HIT Scotland has designed many Scholarships and has affiliations with different esteemed organisations. My scholarship highlighted the idea of technicalities behind successful leaders and their unique qualities and it gave me an insight into what top hospitality can be.
