I have always been into tourism, hospitality and marketing, but it wasn’t until my second year at university that the love for marketing had won. I started my career as a Marketing and Sales Assistant at Heritage Portfolio, an award-winning catering company, and progressed within the business. Three years in, I am now a Marketing Executive and can safely say I absolutely love it. What do I love most about it? I suppose it would be the dynamics of the marketing department and my role. From creating artwork, writing blogs, social media management to presentations and assisting with events. Each day brings a new project, a new exciting challenge and with marketing trends changing ever so quickly, it really keep you on your toes.
It is the reason why I applied for the HIT Social Media Scholarship. I was excited about the opportunity to work with highly competitive professionals, learn from their expertise and other companies’ success stories. I was very lucky to be selected.
Taking part in the scholarship helped me gain insight into new social media marketing trends, emerging marketing tools, services and products to enhance overall customer experience.
Moreover, taking part in the scholarship provided an inspiration for new solutions to attract more clients and developing a consistently better, more creative service. It enabled me to put the gained knowledge into practice and helped me become a better asset and in turn achieve my personal and company goals.
I’m looking forward to see what other exciting challenges the future brings!
