HIT’s Chief Executive, David Cochrane, was on hand to chair the launch of Respitality at the Fairmont Hotel in St Andrews recently.
Respitality is charity which aims to work in partnership with the hospitality industry to give unpaid carers a much needed break. Whether it’s the gift of a night away or access to a spa when there is availability, the hospitality sector can help their local communities by recognising and appreciating the contribution of unpaid carers.
Respitality is launching with a pilot scheme in Fife and already the Fairmont Hotel in St Andrews and Fife Cottages have signed up to be accommodation partners.
The aim is to roll out the programme across Scotland so if you would like to find out more about Respitality and how you can get involved click here
David was joined at the launch by Fife Provost, Jim Leishman and Debbie MacCallum, Owner of Fife Cottages
