HIT Scotland’s Chief Executive, David Cochrane, was presented with a Golden Laurel for Exceptional Achievement in front of an audience of 500 people at the recent Scottish Hotel Awards.
The award recognises David’s commitment to raising funds to support & encourage excellence in the hospitality industry through HIT’s emerging talent scholarship and bursary programme.
HIT Scotland has raised over £3.5million to offer those in the industry the chance to take part in money-can't-buy learning experiences or to study at some of the world's finest hospitality schools.
To date HIT Scotland has provided in excess of 1,000 scholarships and 10,000 bursaries to people at all stages in their hospitality careers.
Commenting on the award Paddy Crerar, Chairman of HIT Scotland, said:
