Congratulations to our scholars who completed the inaugural HIT Pastry Masterclass at Gleneagles recently.
The course developed by Alan Hill, Food and Beverage Director of The Gleneagles Hotel, included demonstrations by the Executive Pastry Chefs of The Ritz, Gleneagles and Andrew Fairlie’s as well as a food technology class with Vicky Henderson of MSK.
The two day course also offered scholars the opportunity to sample the 5* customer experience with an overnight at the hotel and dinner in the Strathearn Restaurant.
The dinner, hosted by Andrew Fairlie, allowed the scholars to spend time with the chefs and hear about their philosophies and experiences in the industry.
Commenting on the Masterclass, David Cochrane, Chief Executive of HIT Scotland said:
“The HIT Pastry Masterclass has proved to be one of our most successful scholarships to date. Feedback from the course has been fantastic and the concept of the masterclass is something we would like to develop into other areas including customer service.”
